Jason Dent ended a 3 fight losing streak last night in Iowa with a submission win over the very tough Paul Bird. From a text early this morning:
“Stand up fight for round 1. I dropped him with a overhand right in round 2 and jumped on him to finish, ended up popping his arm with a kimura for the tapout. Felt good to win.”
The kimura had to be particularly satisfying over an opponent known for power submissions and whose last fight was a win over BJJ Black Belt by RNC.
Jason has a fight offer from Bellator for the April 20th card in Cleveland pending approval from the Ohio Athletic Commission.
