Chad Mullins, Adam Sadny, and Aaron Veverka represented GriffonRawl this past weekend at Chapparrels Community Center in Akron. What follows is a recap of each GriffonRawl fighters bout.Chad Mullins started the night off for GriffonRawl, making his kickboxing debut. Chad did well in the clinch landing good knee’s and combinations and kept fighting hard the entire three rounds, never giving up even though he was up against a much taller opponent with good reach and good combinations, himself. Chad kept brawling up until the final bell pushing himself and the action. When all was said and done, the judges deemed it a unanimous decision for his opponent, Josh Breto.Aaron “Juice” Veverka was in a different class fighting Josh Pyle, who took the fight on 36 or 48 hours after Paul “Str8outa” Compton had to pull out due to a broken hand. Josh handled himself with class, giving all credit to Aaron for a well handled fight. Aaron started off with excellent combinations, closing the distance to achieve the clinch in his favor, where he was able to land round and straight knees from all angles. Round two went much the same way as round one, where eventually the referee stopped the contest at 1:42.Adam “The Cleveland City Psycho” Sadny took on NAAFS MMA staple John “Mongoose” Myers. Adam started off immediately with a left body kick after touching gloves. The two tied up with Adam getting the better of the exchange landing knees on John’s thighs. John grazed Adam with a right cross, sending Adam to the canvass due to loss of footing more than the punch. The referee did not even check Adam knowing he was okay. Action began again with Adam throwing a “set up” right followed by a devastating left-leg head kick, knocking Mongoose out cold at the 30 second mark of the very first round. He laid there for a minute or two, coming to with the aid of the doctors.
